Sonesta ES Suites Lake Buena Vista

I am SO excited to finally share where we stayed when we were at Disney! We normally stay on property but the rooms can be incredibly small and so we decided to look elsewhere. I loved partnering with Sonesta ES Suites and having the most spacious area for all of us to enjoy as a family! Not to mention it’s close to all of the parks and just down the road from Disney Springs. The location couldn’t get better.

The rooms are connected by a living room and kitchen so there was plenty of room for my parents and us while still having our own privacy. One side had a king bed and then the other side had two double beds. The living room also had a pull out sofa so there could be even more accommodation for a larger family. There was only five of us but this room type can accommodate 6-8 adults easily.

The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were super clean! There’s also a tv in each room and a full bathroom. This is so helpful when we are all trying to get ready at the same time. Cal had his own crib that was brought to the room, but he loved sleeping in the beds with us. The parks are so busy he would fall right asleep and then we would transfer him after some cuddles and he would sleep amazing in the crib as well.

The living room had a nice set up and was very spacious as well. There was a couch, chair, ottoman and then the dining table. There was plenty of room for Cal to drive his cars around in the morning and he loved sitting up at the high top dining table for breakfast! The rooms are accessed from outside instead of from an indoor hallway or lobby. The door to get into the hotel room is in the living room so you would walk in and there is a bedroom on either side. The kitchen was straight ahead from the door! There was quite a bit of natural light that came in the room with the big windows in the living room. The entire area is between 738-750 sq. ft. so there’s lots of room!

The kitchen included a full size refrigerator, oven and stove top, dishwasher, and microwave. There was plenty of storage throughout as well! The refrigerator came in handy with drinks and then especially for Calihan’s milk. He drinks whole milk and I like when I can easily store it somewhere. I almost felt like I was in an apartment when I walked in. There was also a coffee maker that we didn’t use only because I’m a sucker for Joffrey’s coffee in the park, but it looked nice and simple. We used the kitchen mostly in the mornings or when we were coming back from the parks! There’s a pizza place we ordered from close by and it was nice to have a place to eat it.

The outdoor areas were also so cute! I could picture larger gatherings out there or couple just enjoying the weather. The set up was nice with multiple tables and a grill on an outside patio area. Each table had an umbrella, but there was also a covered area. Palm trees also always give the best feel of paradise in Florida.

As you can see in the photo below there was a hot tub, pool, and plenty of lounge chairs. The pool is heated! The tables pictured above were straight back behind the pool. Every morning they would clean the pool before it opened and it was nice to see how clean and well looked after it is! I wish we would have had more time to enjoy the pool. If you are only doing Disney or Universal for a few days – this pool will be perfect to relax those other days!

There is also a game room and guest laundry for more amenities. Each one was located where the table and chairs were as well. There’s also the lobby back in that area that has the cutest set up with info on Disney! The employees were extremely nice and helpful when we had to clean Calihan’s blanket. Breakfast was a grab and go due to the current situation with the pandemic, but I enjoy that more. The muffins were delicious honestly! We are normally in a rush anyways to get to the parks so a big breakfast is not in the plans. This way we could grab a muffin and head to the parks! There’s also free wifi and a business center for any business travelers or those with kids that really want the wifi. They were also named Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping 2021 by AAA!

Check in is 4:00pm and checkout is 11:00am.
This is also a pet friendly location if you have your fur baby with you!

Overall this location makes more sense for our family! The close proximity to all of the parks and especially to Disney Springs was a bonus. The rooms had more space for Calihan to play and for all of us to still be together. We can’t wait to go back and this time use the pool!! Thank you to Sonesta ES Suites Lake Buena Vista for their hospitality! We created the most magical memories on our trip!
