Disney is a professional at providing fun food & drinks throughout their parks. If you are a foodie like me, The International Food & Wine Festival at Epcot does not disappoint. I love that I can try different smaller portions at each booth! I’m such an appetizer girl because I like sampling a variety so this is perfect for me.
The best way is to make your way around the festival booth by booth – taking a look at all the choices. At the beginning of the countries and at every location you can find a small book for free that covers everything each booth has to offer. I would take a quick look at that, and then decide where you want to spend your money. We try to keep it simple and load a gift card with the amount we are willing to spend. This way we can keep track and see our balance easily. It’s more fun that way also so you aren’t stressed!!
Australia
Roasted Lamb Chop with Sweet Potato Purée, Bush Berry Pea Salad and Pistachio-Pomegranate Gremolata (gluten/wheat-friendly). I almost didn’t get a photo – Lyall ate this so fast! He said it was good, but not the best he has had. He said there wasn’t a ton of flavor even though to me it looked like lots of flavor!
Canada
Canadian Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup served with a Pretzel Roll and “Le Cellier” Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle-Butter Sauce (gluten/wheat-friendly) My parents tried this and said both were yum!
Flavors From Fire hosted by the NFL on ESPN
The Corned Beef Corner Route: Smoked Corned Beef with Crispy Potatoes, Cheese Curds, Pickled Onions and Beer-Cheese Fondue
The Chimichurri-up Offense: Charred Chimichurri Steak on a Smoked Corn Cake with Pickled Vegetable Slaw and Cilantro Aïoli (gluten/wheat-friendly)
My FAVORITE marketplace. So yum. The flavor was in every bite and the combination was just amazing.
and Saugatuck Brewing Company Bonfire Beer, Douglas, MI (I wanted to love this but it wasn’t for me)
Germany
Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll
We all split this – Cal included and it was delicious! I’m not a pretzel fan but the actual bratwurst was good!
Greece
Spanakopita and Griddled Cheese with Pistachios and Honey (gluten/wheat-friendly) & the wine flight
The cheese was interesting! You really need to enjoy cheese to enjoy the griddled part of it. The two were not bad though! The wine was a must! I like when they do flights so you can taste them all.
Hops & Barley
New England Lobster Roll: Lobster with Herb Mayonnaise on a Griddled Roll, beer flight, and 81Bay Brewing Co. Strawberry and Lime, Tampa, FL
My mom had approximately 8 lobster rolls (could even be more) during our entire trip. It’s her favorite! She goes to food and wine just for this so if you are a lobster roll fan, this is a must try.
India
Warm Indian Bread with Pickled Garlic, Mango Salsa and Coriander Pesto Dips and Sula Chenin Blanc, Nashik
This was another favorite of ours! We like naan bread so it was practically what we had at the lodge. The Blanc was also refreshing!
Italy
Mezzelune Croccanti: Crispy Half-moon Breaded Mozzarella-filled Ravioli with Pomodoro Sauce
This is unfortunately one of the food items I forgot to take a photo of! I tried this pretty late at night on our second night and it was just like mozzarella sticks to me but flat. They were really good and a decent portion size!
Japan
Spicy Hako Sushi: Spicy Tuna and Salmon served Box-style with Red Tempura Crunch and Volcano Sauce and Kochi Lemon Drop: Vodka, Yuzu, and Lemon Juice garnished with a Lemon Jelly
I really enjoyed both of these! The drink was so tasty especially because I love lemon. The sushi was two pieces – but had a good spice flavor to it. I could have had another two easily they were that good!
Kenya
Kenyan Coffee Barbecue Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato & Corn Mealie Pap and Kachumbari Slaw (gluten/wheat-friendly) and Tusker Lager
My dad and Lyall both had this! Another must-try if you like beef tenderloin and flavor!
Lobster Landing
Baked Lobster Dip with Old Bay Chips (gluten/wheat-friendly) and Cape Codder: Vodka with Cranberry, Pomegranate and Lime
My mom loves this dip (lobster is everything to her of course lol) and I couldn’t get enough of it either! This is a nice snack in between the heavier meals.
Mexico
Chilaquiles con Chorizo: Crispy Corn Tortillas tossed in Salsa Verde and Monterey Jack Cheese topped with Crema Mexicana, Queso Cotija, Pickled Onions and Ground Chorizo and Taco de Ribeye: Shaved Ribeye, Red Onions, and Poblano Peppers on a Corn Tortilla with Ranchera Salsa, Cotija Cheese and Chives.
I loved my Chilaquiles con Chorizo, but the taco looked sad. There was barely anything on it and was quite small for the price! I wouldn’t waste your money on it. I would instead go to the main area and purchase tacos for almost the same price.
Refreshment Post hosted by Boursin
Maple Boursin Cheesecake with Whipped Boursin® Maple Bourbon Cheese and Candied Pecans
YUM is all I have to say. Calihan and I devoured this cheesecake!
Rotunda Bistro
Wild Mushroom and Truffle Tart with Gruyère and Crème Fraîche
This was the second marketplace I forgot to take a photo in! This was the same night as the Italy night. The price point was perfect and I did say it was one of my top 5 things I ate to my family. The truffle flavor is soooo good.
Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina
Grilled Kebabs with Couscous, Tomato-Onion Salad and Garlic Aïoli – Moroccan Spiced Lamb
This was the last thing I ate at Food & Wine! The meat was delicious and I liked that nothing was dry. There was flavor from the tomato and onion salad that I mixed with the lamb.
The Alps
Frozen Rosé
My mom and I had two of these each! We really enjoyed this Frozen Rosé compared to any others we saw! The weather was so hot that it was also a nice cool off!
The Noodle Exchange
Shrimp and Coconut Curry Rice Noodles with Shiitake Mushrooms and Thai Basil (gluten/wheat-friendly)
Last but not least – probably my second favorite thing I had!! The amount of food in the bowl was way more than what you normally would get at a marketplace and it’s only $6.25! I couldn’t believe the price for the food. The kick was just the right amount – I love spice. Just know this is quite spicy!
Places I would have loved to try if I had room in my stomach:
Ireland: Fisherman’s seafood pie
The Swanky Saucy Swine: Bourbon Bloody Mary
Hawaii: Kālua Pork Slider
Brew-Wing: honestly any of the wings or drinks! I spotted some Michigan beers there! This booth was in an air conditioned building so that would have been nice also.
Donut Box: Sriracha- glazed donut! I heard it’s actually very good. I was curious but so full.
Mac & Eats: I know my friend Tracy will be disappointed that I didn’t try anything from here! All of the choices looked delicious. I probably would do the truffle or the cowboy easily.
My favorite booth has to be Flavors From Fire food wise! The corned beef corner route was delicious!! I would say the chimichurri-up offense was just as good. The flavors were amazing. The only thing I’d change is the beer I had there. I wasn’t a huge fan, so my favorite drink would have to be the Frozen Rosé from The Alps!
If you go to Disney’s International Food & Wine Festival – let me know what you like best! I’d love to hear your favorites! & as always, thank you for reading!
Thank you for sharing!! It’s lovely to get to see all the annual foods for the festival.
They were all so good!! 🙂
