It’s finally summer! I’m one of those people though that want the heat, but then ask for snow when the temperatures hit 100 here in Texas. My winter makeup does transition out and my summer makeup takes over for a lightweight feel during these hot days. I also use different products on my hair to keep it moisturized and styled longer when I’m outside.
I have been loving so many products lately, but my go-to products for hair are the Colleen Rothschild hair mask and my Revlon one-step hair dryer. I use the hair mask every time I wash my hair since I usually go at least 3 days between washes. The best process for me is to put it in my hair, then use a clip to let it work it’s magic while I shave, wash my body, etc. This lets the mask sit for a bit and then I rinse it out and my hair feels so soft! The Revlon one-step hair dryer saves me an incredible amount of time! I can style my hair while it’s drying, and it’s cut my time getting ready in half at least. The only thing I might touch up is straightening a few pieces, but my hair is naturally curly so I highly enjoy how smooth and sleek my hair ends up feeling.
A lightweight foundation that I love is the it Cosmetics CC+ cream with SPF 50+. I normally would wear my Double Wear foundation but during the summer it’s a little too thick unless it’s a special occasion. I also really enjoy Tarte products as always. These products have always been my go-to all year round. I always use the shape tape, switch between the rainforest of the sea palette and the in bloom-clay palette, and then I switch out lipsticks to more nudes. My new favorite lipstick is the color splash – salt lyfe. The coloring is gorgeous for any summer activities.
My nightly skincare routine doesn’t really change depending on season, but I use the Retinol Supreme Night Oil also from Colleen Rothschild and I LOVE the way my skin has felt since I started using this back in February. After the first few days I already knew this was one of my favorite purchases. The price is a little up there, but it’s worth the hype and will last quite awhile! I still have 2/3 left and it has been almost 5 months since I purchased this item.
