This simple board caters to everyone’s taste buds while not adding extra effort in the kitchen! The parties may be slimmed down to one household, but this is still a fun way to watch the big game!
I divided the food into three top sections in our household, then added smaller items that complimented each.
,1. Spicy food / Mexican
I honestly can’t watch a game without having chips and salsa or guac! I wanted to add Jalapeño popper bites, and taco football boats to the mix!
Jalapeño popper bites :
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 onions diced
- 2 jalapeños, seeded and diced
- 8 cooked bacon slices and crumbled
- 8 oz pepper jack cheese, shredded
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- tortilla scoop chips (fill as many as you want / can but can make roughly 40!)
Stir all together and place in scoop chips – bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes (can also top with cheese and bacon before putting in the oven)
Taco football boats :
- 1 (12-count) box of mini flour tortilla boats
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tomato – diced
- 2 scallions – chopped
Lightly fry tortilla boats on both sides in oil until golden. Put meat and onion with seasonings (add your own if you’d like as well) until meat is browned. Add to boats, then top with scallions, tomatoes, sour cream and cheese!
Add in chips, salsa, guac, limes – anything you‘d like in this section.
,,,2. Wings ,,
I would like to believe this is what my husband lives for during games! We did BBQ, Lemon Pepper, and hot.
Line a pan with parchment paper, or aluminum foil. Brush the wings (patted dry) on both sides with melted butter (1/2 stick) / olive oil mixture (3 tablespoons) and place in oven at 400 degrees for about 40-45 minutes!
The lemon pepper seasoning we put on before they go in the oven!
The BBQ and hot sauce will go on after (can brush or toss them in sauces) that’s it!
Add celery, carrots, blue cheese, and ranch for additional touches to this section.
,3. French Dip Hawaiian Roll Sliders
Mini sandwiches are easy – especially French dip!
I used a pack of Hawaiian rolls and cut them in half for sandwiches. Placed the bottom half in a dish – added roast beef and cheese, then put the top back on. I coated with melted butter & I like rosemary on top but anything will do!
Place in the oven for 25 minutes at 350 degrees!
Place a dipping sauce in a bowl – in this case I used French dip Au Jus.
Place all on a board and you have a taste for everyone!
