Location: Disney’s Animal Kingdom + Pandora + Pongu Pongu
Pandora – the world of avatar inspired by the movie, opened in 2017 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The area takes up approximately 12 acres! How crazy is that to think about. There are two rides currently, Avatar flight of passage and the Na’vi River Journey, a family-friendly ride.
Disney would not be Disney without the world of Avatar being perfectly themed from the scenery to the food and drinks with their dining options being named Pongu Pongu and Satu’li Canteen.
Pongu Pongu, the place where these drinks come to life means “party party” in the official Na’vi language!
This specific Na’vi-inspired refreshment pictured is called Night Blossom (non alcoholic)! The Night Blossom consists of layers of apple and desert pear limeade topped with passion fruit boba balls.
Currently sold at Pongu Pongu for $5.99. Delicious!
“Is there an alcoholic version?”
Yes, there is! Disney and alcohol might not mix in your mind, but there are plenty of options for adult fun as well! The alcoholic version is called the Rum Blossom. The only difference is the Bacardi Superior Rum & the increased $13.00 price.
Other drinks include:
Mo’ara High Country Ale
-amber ale with a spicy hop aroma
Hawkes’ Grog Ale
-fruity hop with notes of apricot and peach
-tequila and blue curacao with lime juice topped with passion fruit Boba balls
What brought me there:
As most of you know by now, I’m a Disney guru. I have grown up with the smells of Main Street and had the pleasure of participating in the Disney College Program in 2013. I would love to say I research before I go, but I honestly just wing it most times! I follow a few fun pages on IG and then make a small list of drinks + food I’d love to try!
This trip was incredibly special since it was a complete sisters trip! My sister and I decided since we were already in Florida, why not take a day trip to Disney! If that’s not enough, how about we do all four parks in one day since we can’t decide on one! *We are that big of Disney fans y’all*
Our number one drink on our list this time around was the Night Blossom and it did not disappoint!
If, and when you decide to enjoy the magic again, make sure to stop by Pongu Pongu for a tasty fun-colored drink!
